DelCampo International School is a college preparatory school with English and Spanish as the primary languages of instruction. The program of study offers students the opportunity to graduate with an American High School Diploma as well as the “Bachillerato” degree, which fulfills requirements of the Honduran Ministry of Education, who has stipulated every school to follow a given curriculum based on the Common Core knowledge of Honduras. Subsequently, DelCampo International School is an accredited institution by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS) hence, the Common Core Knowledge approach was institutionalized in 2012 to follow the regulations of the department of education of the United States of America.

 

The Upper School is divided into Middle School, composed of grades 7th and 8th, and High School composed of grades 9th through 12th. Enrolling approximately 500 students, mainly from Honduras, with international students from the United States and other Latin American Countries, DCIS is focused on fostering a caring and creative community where each individual is valued and respected. Upper school prepares students for higher education in colleges and universities throughout the world.

Our Upper School Campus is built to meet the needs of our students, accommodating them in spacious and well lit classrooms, well equipped science labs,  top notch IT labs, several basketball and volleyball courts, an artificial turf soccer field and a modern library.

At DCIS we believe that our foundation is cemented in our core values. It is not the building but the environment that we create and develop to prepare our students for an ever-increasing complex society.
