Each year a select group of DelCampo tenth and eleventh grade students attend the Presidential Classroom Program in Washington, D.C. The program offers students the chance to meet with their contemporaries from countries throughout the world. During the one week conference students address actual political, economic, and social issues and together develop and offer solutions to the complex problems. Students attend seminars with highly influential leaders, visit many historic and cultural sites in Washington, and interact with teachers and peers with whom they share and debate their personal opinions and ideas. Presidential Classroom provides DCIS students with a fast-paced, energetic educational experience that aids them in developing leadership qualities for future endeavors as professionals in their countries.
