Loaning Materials
SECONDARY LIBRARY
1. The student requests for information.
2. Access to the OPAC and verifies the existence of information.
3. If the user does not find the information in the computer then asks for
Librarian's assistance.
4. Librarian does the search and locates the information and lets user know.
5. If the information does exist in a print format then the user fills the book card.
6. Loan material registration takes place in an electronic sheet it includes book
title, author's name, loan date and overdue date.
7. Checkout material is given to the user.
PRESCHOOL AND PRIMARY LIBRARY
1. The student requests needed information to the Librarian.
2. Librarian identifies the required print information on the shelves.
3. If the information is not found under a print resource then is identify on
another alternative source.
4. If the information does exist in a print format then the user fills the book card.
5. Loan material registration takes place in an electronic sheet it includes book
title, author's name, loan date and overdue date.
6. Checkout material is given to the user.
TEACHERS LIBRARY
1. The teacher requests needed information to the Librarian.
2. Librarian identifies the required print information on the shelves.
3. If the information is not found under a print resource then it suggests the
teacher to use Internet as an alternative source.
4. If the information does exist in a print format then the user fills the book card.
5. Loan material registration takes place in an electronic sheet it includes book
title, author's name, loan date and overdue date.
6. Checkout material is given to the user.
Library Procedures
Returning Materials
This procedure is applicable to secondary, primary and teachers who have request bibliographic material.
1. The student/teacher checks in to turn in loan materials before or on the
due date.
Secondary students can have a loan of four books for two weeks, allow to be
renew for the same amount of time. Primary students can have a loan of two
books for a week, allow to be renew for the same amount of time.
Teachers can have a loan maximun of thirty five books for a week period,
allow to be renew for the same amount of time when it has not been
requested by any other reader.
2. Librarian checks the loan material in the electronic sheet which is organized
per grade and section for secondary, primary and teachers.
3. The bookcard is updated and is place back in the book pocket.
4. The material is place back on the correspondent shelf.
5. To renew the material they need to follow the same established procedure
for the loaning.
